The Terrific 12 is dubbed as Asia League’s premier preseason tournament and is organized in collaboration with the Sports Bureau of Macao SAR Government as well.
Unlike The Summer Super 8, The Terrific 12 allows the teams to field in their most talented line-ups as they are allowed to roster 2 imports per team.

The Terrific 12 was held at Macau’s Studio City Event Center from 18 -23 September with the Ryukyu Golden Kings taking home the crown over the defending Summer Super 8 Champions, Guangzhou Long-lions with a final score of 85-76.
Ryukyu Guard Ryuchi Kishimoto was named MVP of the Terrific 12 finals game finishing with a team-high 21 points going for 6 of 9 from three. Seoul Samsung Thunders placed third in the tournament defeating the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins 105-92 in the Semifinal game.
The teams will face-off in Macau to compete for The Terrific 12 championship. Teams will be boasting their most talented line-ups with foreign star power – two per team – to claim the title.

The Terrific 12 hosted 12 of Asia’s top teams: Shandong Hi-speed Golden Stars, Xinjiang Flying Tigers, Zhejiang Guangsha Lions and Guangzhou Long Lions from CBA (China), Chiba Jets, Ryukyu Golden Kings, Nagoya Diamond Dolphins from B.LEAGUE (Japan), Samsung Thunders and Mobis Phoebus from KBL (South Korea), Fubon Braves and Yulong Luxgen Dinos from SBL (Chinese Taipei) and PBA D League All Stars Ieco Green Warriors from the PBA (Philippines).

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

In the Group Stage, clubs will be divided into four groups of three, each playing two games per group. The top team from each group will advance to the semi-finals in an elimination round. The top two teams will compete for The Terrific 12 championship, while the two eliminated teams will compete for third place.
