About East Asia Super League
East Asia Super League is Asia’s offseason competition platform for club basketball. Our mission is to raise the level of basketball in Asia through the delivery of high-level club to club basketball tournaments, featuring teams from the top leagues in Asia: CBA (China), B.LEAGUE. (Japan), KBL (South Korea), PBA (the Philippines).
Since 2017, East Asia Super League has determined to create the most popular and authoritative club basketball competition across East Asia and had hosted three international basketball tournaments in the Macau Special Administrative Region including Super 8 in 2017, Summer Super 8 and The Terrific 12 in 2018.
East Asia Super League events in 2017 and 2018 were broadcasted on 39 different broadcasting and streaming media platforms in 49 countries on five continents.
The Terrific 12 tournament in 2018 attracted over 37 million viewers while garnering over 3 thousand published articles and news pieces across East Asia. The number of viewers for the 2018 The Terrific 12 tournament was a 50% increase from the previous EASL tournament, the 2018 Summer Super 8.
EASL anticipates viewership to continue an aggressive upward trend during the upcoming The Terrific 12 tournament, which is taking place in September of 2019. EASL projects viewership for the upcoming tournament to eclipse 70 million viewers.
